"Cash for Clunkers" Appliance Rebate ProgramFederal Stimulus Dollars Fund Rebates for ENERGY STAR® Appliances

Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced a new ENERGY STAR appliance rebate program to be administered by state energy offices. The program, popularly known as Cash for Clunker Appliances, is a $300 million stimulus plan designed to boost appliance sales and make homes more energy efficient. The funding comes from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, and each state was allocated a portion of the funds based on population numbers.

IA Appliance Rebates $2,880,857
MN Appliance Rebates $5,008,803
